10 Signs You’ve Truly Become a Bengalurean ⭐

At some stage you don't feel like a tourist in Bengaluru anymore, you feel like it's your city. You slowly start to pick city's unique habits, favourite foods and way of life. Before you know that you are no longer just living in Bengaluru - you've become a Bengalurean.

Here are 10 ways to know you've become a true Bengalurean

1. You have a love hate relationship with Bengaluru traffic

Now you are no stranger to the traffic situation in Bengaluru. You know the roads to avoid at busy times and you are an expert at organizing your whole day around traffic.
But, somehow you still say, "Bengaluru traffic is bad but I love this city"

2. You have strong opinions about Filter Coffee

You might be having a favourite place for a good filter coffee and you know that a proper south Indian breakfast is incomplete without it.

3. You have begun using the Kannada words

Fluency in Kannada is not a requirement to connect to Bangalore. Now you start using words such as "Namaskara", "Swalpa", "Chennagide", "Beda" and "Dhanyavadagalu" a bit more in your vocabulary.

4. You have a favourite breakfast darshini

You are aware that mornings in Bengaluru go hand in hand with south Indian breakfast. Idli, vada, dosa, khara bath and ending with filter coffee all of these classics are comforting to begin the day with. You know what to get, how much it will cost and you'll probably even know which table is generally free.

5. You always ask "which area?"

Bengaluru is huge. Koramangala is not near Indiranagar. Indiranagar is not near Malleshwaram. If you are in Jayanagar, then Whitefield is far from being near. You've been taught that finding the right meeting place is just as crucial as finding the right restaurant.

6. You carry an umbrella just in case

You have seen all the weather types in Bengaluru in one day. It's sunny when you get up in the morning and then a sudden shower in the afternoon, cool breezes in the evening and you wonder if you should take the jacket at night. Then you don't try to forecast the weather anymore.

7. You have a favourite neighbourhood in Bengaluru

Every Bengalurean would have a favourite spot. Perhaps it may be the greenery, old world charm of Malleshwaram, the cafes and nightlife in Indiranagar or the modern lifestyle of Whitefield. The places you love becomes part of who you are.

8. You have discovered Bengaluru's greenside

A walk through Cubbon Park or Lalbagh has become one of your favourite ways to escape the city's busy routine.

9. You have a weekend routine involving food and cafes

Your one of the most common acitivity during the weekend plans would become food. Friends brunching, a visit to the cafe, street food, a new restaurant which you've heard about and want to try or just sitting down somewhere and talking.

10. Bengaluru Feels like home

The biggest sign is simple - you have memories here. You know the streets, have favourite places and have probably complained about the traffic more times than you can count.
Yet, you still love the city.

Bengaluru may be a city, but for a true Bengalurean it's an emotion💗

If you relate to this signs, congratulations you're officially a Bengalurean💞
